More Information
The EOS approach to delivering Government welfare-to-work contracts for the long-term unemployed is different from any other UK private sector provider. Our established Employment Centres sit at the heart of our approach. From these Centres we offer jobseekers practical, hands-on experience of working in sectors such as manufacturing, administration, leisure and hospitality.
This approach is made possible by equipping our delivery sites with facilities including fully functional commercial kitchens, professionally equipped gyms, manufacturing floors and office simulation areas. In this way, our customers engage in real work activities provided by local employers. Our delivery sites replicate the needs of the local labour market, with vocational facilities to suit, ensuring that our customers are as work-ready and competitive as possible, hence maximising their chances of finding and remaining in employment.
Alongside work units developed by EOS, we also invite local “Host Employers” into our Employment Centres, a unique feature of our proposition developed in conjunction with local employers. Under the Work Programme, we provide access for Host Employers to set up their own workplace areas in our Employment Centres, to replicate their real business activities, providing in-situ work experience for customers and benefiting from the opportunity to trial potential candidates. Jobseekers can benefit from real work experience, carrying out practical, operational activities provided by local employers in various professional directions.
