Only one account is required per organisation, and the portal is designed to flag up an attempt to create a duplicate account for an organisation name that is already registered, so please check with your relevant colleagues if you believe that your organisation may already have an account.

	Terms & Conditions 1. The Merlin Standard is Crown copyright, and the domain name, intellectual property and content of www.merlinstandard.co.uk belongs to the Department for Work & Pensions. The site is managed and maintained on behalf of DWP by emqc Ltd. In these Terms and Conditions, "we" or "us" refers to both DWP and emqc Ltd. 2. You may browse merlinstandard.co.uk without registering but in doing so you accept and agree that certain areas of the Site (for example, if you wish to apply for Merlin accreditation) will not be available to you unless you register with merlinstandard.co.uk. You will be asked if you wish to register each time you try to access any part of merlinstandard.co.uk that requires registration. To register to merlinstandard.co.uk you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself and your organisation. 3. We will have the right to refuse to allow you to register on merlinstandard.co.uk. We will have the right to carry out those checks that we deem appropriate to confirm your suitability for registration on merlinstandard.co.uk. 4. Any personal data you transmit to us via merlinstandard.co.uk will be used by us in accordance with the Privacy Policy of merlinstandard.co.uk and you accept our Privacy Policy. 5. You hereby represent and warrant: (i) you have the full power and authority to enter into and perform under these Terms, (ii) your use of merlinstandard.co.uk will not infringe the copyright, trademark, right of publicity or any other legal right of any third party, and (iii) you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in using merlinstandard.co.uk and in engaging in all other activities arising from, relating to or connected with these Terms. 6. Users of merlinstandard.co.uk accept their responsibility to ensure that any information listed on provides clear, accurate and honest details about their organisation. Postings which may be considered to be derogative to (or infringe the rights of) any third party organisation, or may otherwise be considered as dishonest or offensive, will be immediately removed from merlinstandard.co.uk at our discretion. The same will apply to any hyperlink to, or address of, another website where the content of the site in question also breaches these conditions. You agree you will indemnify both DWP and the assessment body from and against any claims or liability arising from content or links contained in information that you may post on this website. Whilst the assessment body endeavours to act on any posting that may be in breach of these terms and conditions, it does not accept any liability for monitoring merlinstandard.co.uk or for unauthorised or unlawful content uploaded by users. 9. We use our best endeavours to ensure that merlinstandard.co.uk is available on World Wide Web at all times. There are times, however, when merlinstandard.co.uk may be partially or completely unavailable due to technical faults, service maintenance periods, failures by third party service providers, or through risk of viral attacks or natural disasters. We endeavour to resolve any such gaps in service in as timely, reasonable and responsible way as possible, but you agree that neither DWP nor the assessment body shall have no financial liability to you in the event of such unavailability. 10. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate equipment and are connected to the appropriate services that enable you to make postings on merlinstandard.co.uk. 11. Passwords are for the sole use of the person to whom they are issued. We may deny access to a password if we reasonably believe that an unauthorised person is using it or that the user is breaching these terms and conditions. 12. merlinstandard.co.uk is protected by copyright law. Users agree not to copy, distribute, reproduce, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to plagarise any aspect of merlinstandard.co.uk for any reason or purpose. 12. Neither DWP nor emqc Ltd, or their officers, servants and agents, accept any responsibility for loss or damage including economic loss to any user for any mis-statement or error from the use of, or reliance on any part of the service. 13. We may amend these Terms from time to time, and place the new version on merlinstandard.co.uk. Your use of merlinstandard.co.uk from the date that the amended terms are placed on merlinstandard.co.uk onwards will be governed by those new terms. We may alter these Terms at any time and your use of the whole/any part of merlinstandard.co.uk following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Terms have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Terms then you must immediately stop using merlinstandard.co.uk. If any provision(s) of these Terms are held to be invalid or unenforceable, it/they will be struck out and the other terms remain. These Terms are subject to the laws of England and Wales, whose courts shall be the courts of exclusive jurisdiction.
